Students enjoy gardening at Our Lady Star of the Sea. They grow vegetables, herbs, annuals and have access to multiple gardening areas.
Technology is accessed in each learning area and supports contemporary learning. Learning is further enhanced by the provision of portable technology such as laptops, Ipads, chrome books and multi media equipment.
Our grounds include grassed areas, hard cout areas, junior and senior playgrounds, sandpits and passive play areas. Facilities for indoor sport and performances are available and include an indoor space for physical education classes. An amphitheatre provides an open outdoor classroom space.
Classes have access to open areas which offers space to expand the classroom area or gather.
Gardens are available for children to participate in activities to learn about and grow vegetables. There are facilities available for children to be involved in cooking activities.
The school has a well equipped and spacious library, which is accessed for library lessons, research and borrowing.
An on-site canteen provides service to the school.A two-minute walk from the school is Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
Students come from Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Wallington and the surrounding areas. Our school contracts a local bus company to conduct bus runs, before and after school, to the catchment areas of Wallington and Barwon Heads. Sudents who live more than 4.8km from the school are eligble to apply for a Conveyance Allowance.
