Care & Concern Register

The Care and Concern Register is a school initiative that supports families in our school community during times of need.

The Register, which is run through the PFA, is a simple but meaningful initiative where parent volunteers provide home-cooked meals to families who may be going through a challenging time; whether that’s illness, recovery, a new baby or other unexpected life events.

The program has a PFA coordinator, who works closely with the school to organise support when it’s needed. This role liaises with volunteers, sets up meal rosters and ensures everything runs smoothly, while maintaining the privacy of the families being supported.

How does it work in practice?

• If a family needs support, the Principal, Kerryn, is the first point of contact. This may come directly from the family or via another family who is concerned and supporting.

• Kerryn will speak with the family to understand their needs and then contact the Care and Concern Coordinator, who organises the support, through a roster of volunteers.

• The meals are dropped off at the school office, and all information is treated confidentially.
